Canteen Manager Required for Seniors Matches
The club is looking for someone to manage our canteen for home games this season. The canteen is an important fund-raising function of the club and we need someone to organise the stock and set it up for the remaining 6 senior home games. It is not an arduous job and we will ensure there is plenty of support to serve in the canteen on match days. Contact Mark Curran on 0415 903 047 for more information

Many people might not know that our club’s major fundraiser is the Friday night raffle that we run at The Rutherford Hotel.(One of our major sponsors).
All through the season we don’t ask that you put your hand in your pocket to raise money, but what we would like is a little of your time to help run these raffles with the help of committee members.
The tickets go on sale from 6.00pm in the Cocktail Lounge and the raffle is drawn at 7.30pm.
As well as many meat trays up for grabs in the raffle straight after there is the MONEY TREE DRAW that Jackpots every week by $100.
Then after that there is ” POT THE LOT” where for $1.00 if you can sink all balls on the pool table you can win the prize money which starts at $200 and Jackpots every week.
Or come along enjoy a cold beer or great meal in the bistro which is open 7 nights a week. On Friday nights they have a SPECIAL $10 rump steak meal.
As we have mentioned, the hotel is one of our major sponsors and it would be great to support them as they support us.
Attached is information in applying for the Sydney Swans Academy. If you apply could you also let the club know you have applied thank you
Anyone who still has last years playing jumpers it would be great if you could bring these to training unless you paid for them.
Maitland is entering an U16’s team for the first time this year so please ask any boys who are eligible and may be interested to contact the club or send them to training.

This year the Sydney Swans visited the Hunter and we were fortunate to have Kieran Jack (2010 Bob Skilton Medallist), Sam Reid and Ben Haren join us at our new home ground Max McMahon Oval Rutherford on Tuesday the 8th Feb for our registration evening.
About 50 kids enjoyed a sausage sizzle and stories from the players (with the opportunity for questions) before taking part in drills with the young Swans players
A great time was had by all.
